LM1973M,LM1973M,Comments from user about LM1973M: The integration of large numbers of tiny transistors into a small chip was an enormous improvement over the manual assembly of circuits using electronic components. The circuit can be made to change state by signals applied to one or more control inputs and will have one or two outputs. In the mid-1980s to early-1990s, a crop of new high-performance Reduced Instruction Set Computer (RISC) microprocessors appeared, influenced by discrete RISC-like CPU designs such as the IBM 801 and others. The design of pipelines is one of the central microarchitectural tasks. The size, latency, throughput and connectivity of memories within the system are also microarchitectural decisions. It was made of Germanium and had a voltage capability of 200 volts and a current rating of 35 amperes. However, its excellent performance in low voltage make it the device of choice (actually the only choice) for applications below 200 V. As of 2009, dual-core and quad-core processors are widely used in servers, workstations and PCs while six and eight-core processors will be available for high-end applications in both the home and professional environments.
