A1712,A1712,Comments from user about A1712: Its basic function is to detect a fault condition and, by interrupting continuity, to immediately discontinue electrical flow. Many FPGA vendors have free (or inexpensive) tools to synthesize VHDL for use with their chips, where ASIC tools are often very expensive.
