TA8800,TA8800,Comments from user about TA8800: Semiconductor devices have replaced thermionic devices (vacuum tubes) in most applications. The size of data objects became larger; allowing more transistors on a chip allowed word sizes to increase from 4- and 8-bit words up to today's 64-bit words. The gate electrode is charged to produce an electric field that controls the conductivity of a "channel" between two terminals, called the source and drain. This equation is linear with respect to temperature.
